I'm ordering from outside of the UK, will there be customs charges on my order?
Outside of the UK all orders are liable for customs duties and vary on the amount depending on your country. You will receive a notification via our UPS courier explaining how much customs and duties are due to your email address you have used to place your order. All payments will need to be made before UPS can deliver your item.
What sizes do the bean bags come in?
Sizes:
Medium Child Size - Approximately 85cm length x 65cm width
Large Adult/Teen Size - Approximately 110cm length x 90cm width
Extra Large Adult Size - Approximately 130cm length x 100cm width
The Ultimate Size - Approximately 145cm length x 110cm width
Which bean bag size is best for adults?
Our size adult large, extra large adult size and the ultimate size are all made with adults in mind. You can find more information here!
Can bean bags be washed?
You can use a damp cloth and hot soapy water to sponge clean any stains or spills on your bean bag. Just leave your bean bag to air dry near a radiator or outside in the sun if you can. Any upholstery safe cleaner is also fine to use on your bean bag.
If you have a pet and notice any animal fur gathering on the bean bag from your fluffy friends an adhesive lint roller works well to remove these. This will also work for any dust or loose threads from clothing that may gather on your bean bag.
Can I wash my blanket?
This can be put on a gentle hand wash cycle in a washing machine or hand washed and then run through a light spin cycle. Leave to air dry and do not tumble dry as this can shrink your blanket.
What are the bean bags made of?
We use high quality sustainable cotton materials for our bean bags as they shed and bobble less than a wool material does. Our cotton cords are made from cotton fibres that would otherwise go to landfill, they are broken down back to fibres and then repurposed into cotton cords for us to knit with. Our fabric lining is 100% cotton.
What can I do to keep my bean bag looking full?
Naturally with time the beans inside will start to compress. They are made up of lots of small air pockets that after prolonged sitting will compress and lose their shape. To help prevent this you can shake up your bean bag for around 2-5 mins every now and again which will encourage the air pockets to refill and expand so your bean bag keeps looking full for as long as possible.
I've had my bean bag for a few years and it look's like it needs a top up of filling?
Over time they will naturally shrink slowly over the years. If you do feel it needs a top up we have a few options including filling it yourself at home using our instructions that come included with your order using the zip we fit into the lining. Otherwise we do also offer a no hassle service to top up and refresh your bean bag, normally replacing the lining as well if we think it needs it. Can you send me a sample?
We happily post out free of charge samples of any colours you might like to see in person. Please select your colours and fill in the details as normal here to order. Or you can email us at hello@jessicaleedesign.com with your details and colour requests.
How long is delivery time after my order is dispatched?
Delivery is normally 1-2 days but in most cases overnight delivery. We use Parcel Force, DPD and UPS as our chosen couriers who allow you to track your delivery and give you a one hour time slot for your delivery window. You can also request delivery on an alternative day or leave a message for them to leave your order in a safe place using their app or online service. If you would like a particular day delivery please get in touch with us to request this.
Why is there a long dispatch time?
We are always working hard to keep dispatch time down but unfortunately during some busier periods it can be up to a 2 weeks wait(I promise it will be worth the wait!). We will always be in touch if there is ever a delay and you can always email us at hello@jessicaleedesign.com and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. We are a very small team so sometimes we can take a few days to catch up on email replies in between making your beanbags.
What is your return policy?
We are happy to except returns if the item isn't quite right for you within 14 days of receiving the item. Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. We allow up to 30 days for the item to arrive back with us for a refund. If you have any problems please get in touch and we will be very happy to help.
